They offer you advice that only serves to confuse you. Unless you stick to your guns and are not swayed by what others say, you can give yourself an unnecessary headache.
Support when you are trying to lose weight can increase your chances of being successful considerably, but it is the sort of support that you get that is important. Strangely enough, we all react differently. Some of us very much enjoy the company of others and find that it helps our self-confidence. Others positively loathe letting other people into their lives. They look upon their weight problem as being a very personal one.
