Patricia, I know you feel like that was a bad experience with the dentist,

but I can guarantee that the hygienist did not “drill” your teeth and
she/he didn’t remove enamel. Plaque naturally builds up on your teeth over
time and obviously brushing removes it, but its virtually impossible to
remove 100% every time, the plaque that’s left there calcifies and once
that happens you cannot remove it with a brush. The hygienist should have
warned you that your teeth would be sensitive afterwards because that’s
totally normal. Also the toothpaste cannot rebuild enamel once enamel is
lost it will never grow back, however the fluoride in the toothpaste will
only strengthen the enamel that is already there!
cleaning done regularly it wont be as uncomfortable, it won’t take as long
and the sensitivity won’t be as bad afterwards. I hope you change your mind
about dentists because they’re only looking out for your health, and that
of your teeth
